Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the caregivers' evaluation on the importance, performance, satisfaction on toileting and toilet hygiene after Occupational Therapy (OT) Telehealth of children ages 4-17 with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDDs) in Dasmarinas City, Cavite. With this, a Quantitative-Descriptive method was used. A total of 10 respondents who met the inclusion criteria were given a survey form derived from the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM) through Google Forms, which included close-ended questions presented on a 7-point Likert scale that focuses on the importance, performance and satisfaction. The results indicated that caregivers placed importance on their child's ability to perform toileting and toilet hygiene after OT Telehealth, with evaluations of Extremely Important. In terms of performance, the caregivers provided Very Good Performance evaluations, which implies that the child's performance improved after OT Telehealth. Lastly, the caregivers also expressed satisfaction with their child's performance, with evaluations of Very Satisfied. All things considered, the findings of this study contributes to the understanding of caregivers' evaluation of OT Telehealth in addressing toileting and toilet hygiene challenges in children with NDDs in Dasmarinas Cavite. Moreover, it emphasized the significant role of caregivers being involved in OT telehealth sessions for their children with Neurodevelopmental disorders.
