Abstract

Patient Satisfaction (PS) in Telehealth Occupational Therapy is seen as a measurement of client centered care that can indicate the quality of service delivery. It is important to measure PS because this indicates the improved patient retention and positive clinical outcomes that includes comprehensiveness of care and overall quality of health care. The researchers performed a scoping review following the research design of Colquhoun (2016) which aims to provide the current body of literature pertaining to measuring PS in Telehealth Occupational Therapy (TOT). A total of 8 out of 649 articles were included in this scoping review which underwent levels of screening to be included based on the study's inclusion criteria. The 8 included articles were then charted to

identify factors and common themes. The tools used in measuring patient satisfaction consisted of tools such as 5-point Likert scales, mixed-format questionnaires, informal post-intervention surveys, and standardized tools. Along with that, the factors affecting patient satisfaction were also identified which are: (1) Satisfaction, (2) Technological Qualities, (3) Services, (4) Participation, (5) Safety, (6) Practicality, and (7) Outcomes. Nonetheless, the research concludes that there is a lack of evidence that discusses measuring PS in TOT. One of the gaps observed among the literature is that there were no indicated validity and reliability measurements in most of the tools used in measuring PS. In addition, no specific qualifications were required to administer the tools. Moreover, it was found that most of the studies did not yield recommendations regarding changes in the method of measuring PS.
