Abstract
Specifically it aimed to determine the profile of conservative and liberated women who married at an early age in terms of position in the family, family orientation, educational level, residence, occupation, relationship with parents, rearing background, social relationship, parental factor, peer pressure and media influence. The study focused mainly on the profile of conservative and liberated women of selected areas in Cavite who married at an early age. The respondents were composed of 50 conservative and 50 liberated women, all totalling to 100, selected through purposive sampling. Based on the above findings, the study conclude that most of the respondents are middle children belonging to nuclear type of families. Most of them were non-working prior to marriage and were reared to become independent. Most of them were interested in watching or reading love stories. However, conservative women as compared before getting married. They lived in rural areas and had good relationship with their parents. Most of them were not allowed to attend night parties but were allowed to have boyfriends. Most refrained from smoking or drinking.
