Abstract
This study focused on the compliance of toddlers to subcutaneous injection with or without maternal participation. The study was conducted in a private clinic at Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite and 30 toddlers were chosen as respondents who were scheduled to be immunized with either Anti-Measles Vaccine (AMV) or Mumps Measles Rubella (MMR) and accompanied by their mother. Observation was utilized as research instrument and a face behavior rating scale was used in measuring the compliance of toddlers to subcutaneous injection. The results were presented in tabulated from and were analyzed using computation for mean and t-test for independent samples. Based on the gathered data, the findings reflected that the toddlers complied to subcutaneous injection with maternal participation (3.67) and that in the absence of maternal participation, toddlers complied with restraint (1.53). based on the findings the researchers therefore conclude that there is a significant difference in the compliance of toddler to subcutaneous injection when there is and there is no maternal participation.
