Abstract

The researchers used the descriptive format to obtain the profile of the sexually assaulted victims in lowland Cavite from the ear 1992-1996. The population in this study includes those who belong under the umbrella of low land Cavite such as Imus, Bacoor, Kawit, Rosario, General Trias, and Noveleta. There are no written forms of data gathering, but the researchers conducted an intensive review of the data available on the said resources of information gathered particularly from both governmental and non-governmental agencies of Cavite. The profiles of gathered data were described through the use of computations of percentage and frequency. In terms of age group majority of the victims are 11-20 ears old 55.3% o the other hand only 3.8% of the victims are 31 years old and above; In terms of civil status about half of the victims was single (86%) while (14%) were married; In terms of occupational status 71.2% are unemployed including here are students and minors. The remaining 28.85% were employed; In terms of location of assault 38.8% occurred in the victim’s residence, 38.2%bhappened in a public places such as a vacant lot or cemetery, 18.3% in the assailant’s residence, and the remaining 4.5% occurred in private places such as motels and offices; In terms of Family composition sexual assault victim’s came from a nuclear type pf family (44%) while (35.8%) came from an extended type of family, and the remaining (20.3%) were not stated; In terms of relationship to assailant 44.5% were previously known by the victims while 21.5% were related to the victim b blood such as their father, grandfather, and brother; 16.3% were related through law such as their father in law, brother in law, and the remaining 17.7% were unknown to the victims.
