Abstract
The study employed the descriptive, non-experimental method of research. This focused on the perception of the residents in Barangay Maderan, GMA, Cavite. The participants were the 360 selected residents ages 15 to 45 years old, male and female: married and single, and who finished either elementary, high school or college. The statistical treatments used were the Percentage Distribution, Arithmetic Mean, and T-Test. The major findings showed that 65% fall on the 15-30 years old while 35% were under 31-45 years old. About 43% were male and 58% were female, the 50% were in high school while 42% and 8% were in college and elementary levels respectively. About 53% were single and 47% were married. The study also revealed that the perception of the respondents on the overall effect of industrialization was neutral (3.22 mean level). In terms of the effect o environment and economic situation, the mean level was neutral = 3.14 and 3.39 respectively. There was no significant difference on the overall mean level of perception when respondents were grouped according to age (t-ratio= 0.13), educational attainment (f-ratio= 0.99), and civil status (t-ratio= 0.49). But when grouped according to sex, there was a significant difference (t-ratio= 2.13). In conclusion, it was hypothesized that there was no significant difference on the perception of the respondents when grouped according to age, educational attainment, and civil status. But there is a significant difference when grouped according to sex supported by the t-ratio of 2.13.
