Abstract
The purpose of this study was to describe the experiences of student mothers using a qualitative study through the phenomenological approach. personal interviews among the selected student mothers were conducted with the grand tour question: "How are your experiences being a student and a mother at the same time?" (paano ang maging estudyante at isa ring ina?). This brought about the phenomenological description of the themes based on the lived experiences of the participants. The study focused on the personal interviews by the researchers among selected student mothers regardless of their course, year, age and civil status. The data gathered were directly verbalized answers from the participants. the participants shard that they were undergoing a lot of adjustments due to the huge change on the experience that had brought upon them. the activities they used to do when they were full-time students were affected; most customary actions were not done in the present as often as before. even their studies and study habits changed. Most of them shared they could not concentrate on their studies due to the impact of a great responsibility of being a mother at the same time. Others who viewed it as a difficulty learned to overcome after time and considered it as an inspiration. Most of the participants, being in the more burdensome years in college, experienced a tougher time handling both obligations.
