Abstract
This study aims To determine the profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, religion and year level. 2. To determine the level of acceptance of high school students on children with autism. 3. To determine if there is a significant difference in the level of acceptance of high school students on children with autism in Cavite Institute when they are grouped according to age, gender, religion, and year level. The study was conducted in Cavite Institute in Silang, Cavite, The respondents of the study were 353 high school students enrolled in Cavite Institute SY 2005-2006, The inclusion criteria for the respondents were a.) male or female, b.) registered or enrolled at the said school SY 2005 - 2006, c.) year level ranges from 1st to 4th year, d.) they should be interested, coherent, and could read and understand either English or Tagalog language or both, and e.) should be willing to participate and answer the given questionnaires. In the light of the findings, the following conclusions were drawn: 1. Majority of the high school students were male, 12-14 years old, Roman Catholic and 2nd year high school students. 2. The llevel of acceptance of high school students on children with autism in Cavite Institute was interpreted as moderately accepted as moderately accepted in all the three aspects. 3. The level of acceptance of high school students on children with autism in Cavite Institute was significantly related to age, gender, and year level and is not significantly related to religion.
