Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of life of patients with Cardiovascular Diseases being managed at De La Salle University Medical Center SPECIFIC: 1. To determine the profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, marital status, educational attainment, religious affiliation, socio-economic status, and type of work. 2. To determine the quality of life among patients with cardiovascular diseases in terms of physical, emotional and socio-economic aspects. 3. To determine if there are significant differences in the quality of life when the respondents are grouped according to age, gender, marital status, educational attainment, religious affiliation, socio-economic status, and type of work. From the given findings, these are the conclusions formulated:1. Most of the respondents consist of clients who are in their middle adulthood or 35-65 years, female, married, Catholic, having a monthly income of Php 10,000 and below, have attained college level of education, and unemployed or retired. 2. With the quality of life of patients with cardiovascular diseases, the physical,emotional and socio-economic aspects were analyzed. In terms of the emotional aspect, patients are able to have an excellent quality of life. With the socio-economic aspect, the patients have a very good quality of life. 3. There are no significant differences in quality of life when respondents are grouped according to age, gender, marital status and religion. However, there are significant differences in the quality of life when respondents are grouped according to socio-economic status, educational attainment and type of work.
