Abstract
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY A. General To determine the patients' perception on the quality of nursing care rendered by the staff nurses at JP Rizal Memorial Hospital. B. Specific 1.To determine the profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, civil status, religion, educational attainment, and length of hospital stay; 2. To determine the quality of care rendered by nurses in terms of physical, emotional, social and spiritual aspect as perceived by the patients at JP hospital; 3.To determine the significant difference on the perception of the patients when the respondents are grouped according to age, gender, civil status, religion, educational attainment, and length of hospital stay.
SCOPE AND COVERAGE: The study was conducted in Jose P. Rizal Hospital located in Dasmariñas, Cavite. The respondents of the study included 65 patients who have stayed in the hospital for at least three days. The variables of the study were the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, civil status, religion, educational attainment, and length of hospital stay, and the quality of nursing care rendered by the staff nurses in terms of physical, emotional, social and spiritual aspect as perceived by the respondents.
