Abstract

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: The present study wanted to determine the effects of health teaching regarding the consequences of premarital sex to the level of knowledge and attitude regarding premarital sex of 3rd year high school students in public schools in Dasmarinas, Cavite. Specifically, the following questions were answered in the study: 1.What is the profile of the respondents in terms of gender, religion, and age? 2.What is the level of knowledge and attitude before and after health teaching package of those who are exposed and not exposed to the intervention? 3.Are there significant differences in the level of knowledge and attitude of the high school students who are exposed and not exposed to the health teaching package on premarital sex when grouped according to gender, religion, and age? 4.Are there significant differences in the knowledge and attitude of the high school students who are exposed and not exposed to the health teaching package on premarital sex? SCOPE AND COVERAGE: This study was conducted in Congressional High School and Dasmarinas National High School Main in Dasmarinas, Cavite. The respondents of this study were 3rd year high school students of both schools. The variables under consideration in this study were the profile of the respondents in terms of gender, age and religion, their level of knowledge and level of attitude regarding premarital sex.
