Abstract
The study utilized non-experimental descriptive type of research to know the attitudes and practices of DLSHSI students on beauty care products in enhancing their personality. This study was conducted among 249 students using stratified random sampling. The research instrument used in this study was a validated self made tool based on review of related literature. The statistical treatments used to answer the research problem were the following: percentage distribution, mean, t-test and f-test. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of the respondents were female, 19 to 21 years old, belong to their year college level, and had a weekly allowance of Php501 to 1,500; 2) The nursing students of DLSHSI had high extent of attitude and moderate extent of practice regarding the use of beauty care regimens in enhancing their personality; 3) There was no significant difference in attitudes of respondents on beauty care regimens in enhancing their personality; 3) There was no significant difference in attitudes of respondents on beauty care products in enhancing their personality when grouped according to age, gender and year level. However, there was significant difference when they are grouped according to amount of weekly allowance received. As to practices on beauty care products, there was no significant difference regarding practices when they are grouped according to age and year level. However, there was significant difference in practices on beauty care products when they are grouped according to gender and amount of weekly allowance received.
