Abstract

This study utilized a quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive type of design. The respondents of the study were composed of 100 Bachelor of Science in Nursing students Batch 2013 of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute and chosen using simple random sampling. The research instrument used in this study is an adapted tool. Data was analyzed through frequency distribution, mean and t-test. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of the respondents were female and were already exposed to computer-assisted instruction during high school; 2) The respondents agreed that in general, computer assisted instruction is effective on the academic performance of selected Bachelor of Science in Nursing students Batch 2013 of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute; 3) The nursing students’ perception of the effects of computer-assisted instruction on their academic performance did not differ significantly in terms of gender and previous exposure to computer-assisted instruction.
