Abstract

This study used the descriptive non-experimental quantitative type of research. Through purposive sampling by using Slovin’s formula, the respondents of the study consisted of 120 Bachelor of Science in Nursing students, Batch 2013 of De La Salle Health Sciences Institute and selected from different sections. The study used a modified adapted instrument from six different theses. Data was analyzed through frequency distribution, mean, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient. The conclusions of the study are the following: 1) Majority of the respondents are 18-20 years old, female, Catholic, and with a monthly family income P30,000 and above; 2) Majority of the respondents have moderate level of physical adaptive factor and high level of emotional, social, spiritual and cognitive adaptive factors. The respondents have a high level of adaptive factor; 3) Majority of respondents have a good performance in Community Health Nursing with grades ranging from 85 to 88.99; 4) There is no significant difference in the adaptive factors when the respondents are grouped according to age, religion and monthly family income. However, there is significant difference when the respondents are grouped according to gender; 5) There is no significant different in the level of RLE performance in CHN when the respondents are grouped according to age, gender, religion and monthly family income; 6) There is no significant relationship between the adaptive factors and the RLE performance in CHN of the respondents.
