Abstract
Descriptive quantitative method was utilized in the study. A sample of 50 respondents comprising of staff nurses at DLSUMC were drawn using incident sampling technique. The instrument utilized was a questionnaire. Statistical treatments used were mean, t-test and analysis of variance via f-test. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of the respondents are 21-25 years old, female, with two (2) years or less in service and in the afternoon shift of duty; 2) Majority of the functions that are highly extensive is giving medications while majority of the functions that are satisfactorily extensive is health assessment; 3) There was a slight significance in the intravenous therapy when grouped according to age.
