Abstract

This study employed non-experimental survey method. The subjects were selected though convenience sampling technique. One hundred (100) patients present in the healing center of a particular traditional healer were included as respondents. An interview guide was constructed for data collection. Data was analyzed through percentage and Chi-square test for independence. The following conclusions were drawn: 1) The profile of the respondents who sought assistance from traditional healers varied when they were grouped according to age, gender, educational background, and economic status; 2) Their reasons for seeking the services of traditional healers also varied. However, economic status largely affected their reasons.
