Abstract

The study utilized a quantitative descriptive analytical design, using survey method. There were 310 BSN Students from batches 2023 and 2024. Stratified random sampling was done by using Random Number Generator (RNG), the given numbers represented the class number of each respondents from each sections of both batch years and were contacted through Facebook and Messenger. Data was analyzed through frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation, Mann-Whitney U Test, Kruskal-Wallis H Test and Bonferroni Test. Conclusions: From the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: 1. Most of the respondents are female, from Batch 2024, and relied on laptops for their home-based return demonstrations. Many of these respondents are also utilizing fiber internet to facilitate their home-based return demonstrations. 2. Nursing students experienced challenges in performing home-based return demonstrations, particularly in fundic height measurement and normal spontaneous vaginal delivery. They also experienced challenges in performing essential intrapartum newborn care and Leopold's maneuver, but to a lesser extent. Despite these challenges, students also encountered considerable opportunities to enhance their competencies in performing these procedures. 3. Nursing students experienced similar challenges and opportunities in performing specific procedures in return demonstrations regardless of their gender, college batch, and internet connection type. However, LGBTQ+ students encountered more challenges in performing essential intrapartum newborn care and Leopold's maneuver compared to male and female students. In terms of gadgets used in online return demonstrations, those who used desktop computers particularly experienced more challenges in performing essential intrapartum newborn care compared to those who mainly used laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.
