Abstract
This study used a descriptive-correlational research design and a non-randomized sampling method, specifically snowball method. It was done with (N=385) respondents residing in region IV-A CALABARZON and IV-B MIMAROPA who previously gave birth, no later than twelve months regardless of mode of delivery, and without pregnancy and delivery complications. This study utilized a self-made survey questionnaire. Data was analyzed through frequency and percentage, mean (Average), Chi Square Test, Mann-Whitney U Test, Kruskall-Wallis Test and Post-hoc Test. From the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: 1) The demographic profile of the respondents, the majority are 26-33 years old, married, in their 1st-5th year of relationship, with 1-3 children, on the 1st-3rd month of last delivery of birth, most have normal spontaneous delivery. 2) The extent of paternal involvement as perceived by mothers is generally high. 3) The perceived level of maternal well-being is good. 4) There is a significant relationship between paternal involvement and maternal well-being. 5) There is a significant difference in the extent of paternal involvement during pregnancy & childbirth when grouped according to the age of the respondents, age of the husband/partner, marriage status, years of relationship, number of children, and mode of delivery. However, for the duration in months from the last delivery of birth, the study concluded that there is no significant difference in the perceived paternal involvement. In the perceived level of maternal well-being, there is a significant difference Level of maternal well-being when grouped according to the age of the respondents, age of husband/partner, marriage status, years of relationship, and mode of delivery. But for number of children, and duration from last delivery, the study found no significant difference.
