Abstract
A descriptive research using quantitative non-experimental research design was used in this study. The study included 100 respondents from selected cities in Cavite particularly in Imus, Bacoor and Dasmariñas and were chosen using purposive sampling. An adapted modified questionnaire was the research instrument used and data was analysed using frequency distribution, percentage, mean, t-test, and f-test. Majority of the persons with visual impairment were 18 to 40 years old, male, married, blind for 1-20 years, Catholic, high school graduates, employed, and with a monthly income of P10,000 and below. The study concludes that the over-all mental health status of persons with visual impairment was healthy. Persons with visual impairment who were married would most likely have a healthy social domain but persons with visual impairment of different age groups, male and female, number of years of being blind, educational attainment, occupation and socio-economic status have the same state of mental health on physical domain, emotional domain and cognitive domain.
