Abstract

The researchers used a quantitative analytical design, specifically descriptive research, to measure the level of anxiety of fourth-year nursing students of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute in the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination. The descriptive research design was used to identify correlations between independent variables and to determine any significant differences in the dependent variable. From the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: 1. Majority of the respondents are female with at least PHP 219,140 monthly family income and their primary support system is their family. 2. The results indicate that the respondents perceive moderate anxiety on the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and developmental aspects and mild anxiety on the spiritual aspect in relation to the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination. Overall, the respondents’ level of anxiety in relation to the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination is moderate. 3. There is no significant difference in the level of anxiety of the respondents when grouped according to sex, monthly family income and primary support system.
