Abstract

The study used a quantitative type of research design, specifically the analytical method. The respondents of the study were 268 nursing students, who were chosen using a purposive sampling method. A modified and self-made questionnaire was used which was modified based on the studies of Jena (2020) and Mahdy (2020). Slovin's formula, frequency distribution, percentage distribution, mean, standard deviation and t-test for independent samples were all used to analyze the data. The study concluded that, 1) Females in first year level of nursing, whose ages were ranging from 18 to 20, formed the majority of the participants in the study, 2) The nursing students of DLSMHSI generally agreed that the COVID-19 has cause an impact on remote learning, 3) The nursing students of DLSMHSI neutrally answered that the COVID-19 gave an opportunity in remote learning, 4) The nursing students of DLSMHSI generally agreed that the COVID-19 has numerous challenges as regards to studying in remote learning, 5) When grouped according to age, sex, and year level, there are no significant differences in the opportunities for remote learning, 6) When grouped according to age, sex, and year level. there are no significant differences in the challenges for remote learning.
