Abstract
This study utilized an analytical research design to determine the factors influencing vaccine hesitancy among adults in the City of Imus Cavite. The total population participating in this study is 96 unvaccinated adults residing in Imus City, Cavite. To obtain data from the respondents, the researchers facilitated nonprobability sampling, specifically snowball sampling. The researchers made use of a self-made research instrument. The actual data gathering was conducted via Google Forms. The statistical treatment in this study for data analysis were frequency distribution, weighted mean, t-test and ANOVA (Analysis of Variance). From the findings of the study, the following conclusions were drawn: 1) Most of the respondents were female, 18-40 years old, Catholic, college graduates, and had a family income of P10,957 to P21,914 monthly; 2) Most of respondents showed that they were influenced to a moderate extent by vaccine hesitance regarding misinformation, negative information, common acquaintances experiencing adverse reactions, and the limitations and inconsistency of the policies and process of vaccination sites; 3) There were no significant differences in the factors affecting COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy among adults in Imus Cavite when grouped by age, sex, religion, and educational attainment. There was a significant difference in the factors affecting COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy among adults in the City of Imus Cavite when grouped by monthly family income.
