Abstract

The study utilized a descriptive correlational design using purposive sampling. The data gathering tool were self-made questionnaire to measure the level of awareness and attitude on telemedicine services using Likert Scale. Data was analyzed through frequency distribution, percentage, mean/standard deviation, t-test & ANOVA test and Spearman's Rank-Order Correlation. The study concluded that, 1) Most of respondents were of ages ranging form 40-65 years old, female. Majority of respondents have finished secondary education. In addition, the majority of the respondents have a monthly income of P10,957 and below; 2) The overall level of awareness of the respondents regarding telemedicine services was interpreted as a moderate level of awareness; 3) The overall attitude of the residents of selected barangays in the City of Imus, Cavite, on telemedicine services was interpreted as a good attitude; 4) The relationship between the level of awareness and attitude is directly proportional. The more that the residents are aware about telemedicine, the more likely that they would have a positive attitude about it. The less that they are aware, the more likely that they would have a negative attitude on telemedicine; 5) There is a high level of awareness and attitude on telemedicine services regardless of their age, sex, educational attainment, and socioeconomic status.
