Abstract

The study utilized the quantitative descriptive cross-sectional design. The Perceived Stress Scale was utilized for data gathering. Snowball sampling and Yamane's formula were used to determine the sample size of 298 BHWs. Data was analyzed through frequency distribution, percentage distribution, weighted mean, standard deviation, independent t-test and One-way ANOVA test. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of the respondents are 51-60 years old, female, Roman Catholic, married, living with 4-6 household members, graduate degree completers, assigned to 1-20 households, working Dasmarinas City, and have had 1-5 years of experience; 2) Barangay health workers from selected municipalities in the Province of Cavite had a moderate level of stress during the COVID-19 pandemic; 3) Higher levels of stress were seen among the respondents who: (a) Roman Catholics as compared to Seventh Day Adventists and Iglesias ni Cristo; (b) have a graduate degree, as compared to those who have an undergraduate degree; (c) have been working for 6-10 years, as compared to those who have been working for more than 15 years.
