Abstract
This study used the descriptive phenomenological approach of qualitative research. Using the aid of an audio recorder, the researchers conducted interviews with the participants to gather qualitative data. Data was analyzed through Collaizi's phenomenological method. Purposive sampling and snowball sampling were used in selecting participants. A total of seven (7) participants were interviewed composed of four mothers and three fathers. The study concluded that parents of children diagnosed with cancer will everything and anything for the sake of their child's well-being. Almost all participants have mentioned that indeed it is hard parenting a child diagnosed with cancer, form an undesirable start to a journey that has challenged them (pertaining to the participants) in all aspects and ended up with hope and positive realizations in life. Despite all the challenges and negative experiences that had happened to the participants, they managed to see the light at the end of the tunnel and look at their problems in a different perspective. They looked at it as a lesson for them as parents and believed that it is for the betterment of their child. Their experience has transformed them into individuals who look after those who are in need. Some of the participants' faith changed for the better, they became more grateful for the day to day blessings they receive and the life they live. As what one of the participants state, any parent may be tired, but no parent will ever think of giving up as long as it is for their child.
