Abstract
This research utilized a descriptive research design. Stratified random sampling was used in the study. The researchers accumulated a total of 298 respondents from all year levels of Bachelor of Science in Nursing studying in De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute. A self-made questionnaire was made based on literature and Albert Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory. The researchers subjected the collected data to statistical treatments such as percentage, weighted mean, Kruskal Wallis and Mann Whitney U. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of the respondents are from the first year level, female nursing students, and are 18 to 20 years old, have 21-50 mbps internet, share it with 4 users and below, and use the internet for at least 9 hours and above in a day, 2) The study habits of the respondents in terms of behavioral factors are highly affected by having complete and organized learning materials, studying at the time when the focus of the students is sharp, and connecting ideas from one lecture to another. Environmental factors that affect students' study habits are quiet places like personal study rooms or areas, an organized and clean area, a well-ventilated room, and lastly a sell-lit room. The personal factor that highly effects the study habits of the respondent is the use of hard copy materials in reviewing, 3) Sex and duration of internet use are factors that do not affect the study habits of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute Bachelor of Science in Nursing students using HBALMs. On the other hand, there is a significant difference in the factors affecting the study habits when grouped according to age, year level and internet speed.
