Abstract

The study utilized a quantitative analytical research method. The sampling technique used is snowball sampling or chain referral sampling to gather the data needed from 98 respondents from first year nursing students in De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute. A modified adapted questionnaire was used to address the needs and problems of the study. The following statistical tests were percentage distribution, mean, standard deviation, and Mann-Whitney test. The study concluded that, 1) The majority of the respondents are females, Catholic, and have prior experiences of undergoing CAM, 2) The respondents have a positive attitude and perception towards complementary and alternative medicine, 3) The respondents have the same attitude and perception towards complementary and alternative medicine regardless of sex and religion. Whereas prior experiences of undergoing CAM was determined to have a significant difference.
