Abstract
This is a quantitative descriptive study. The population of this study is Bachelor of Science Nursing students of DLSMHSI. There are total of 266 respondents and are divided per year level. Proportional quota sampling was utilized. Two (2) adapted modified questionnaires namely the Academic Resilience Scale and Grit Scale were used. Data was analyzed through frequency distribution, percentage, weighted mean, standard deviation, Kruskall Wallis H test, and Mann Whitney U test. The study concluded that, 1) Majority of the respondents (a) female, (b) currently on the first year level utilizing HBALMs, (c) with family support which provides personal needs, emotional needs, guidance, inspiration, and strength, 2) In terms of Academic Resilience, it is highlighted that most of the respondents have a score of "high resiliency" while utilizing HBALMs, 3) In terms of grit, most of the respondents are "moderately gritty" while utilizing HBALMs, 4) There is a significant difference in the academic resilience of the respondents utilizing HBALMSs in terms of year level. However, there are no significant differences in the academic resilience of the respondents utilizing HBALMs when grouped according to sex and family support, 5) There are no significant differences in terms of the grit of the respondents when grouped according to year level, sex, and family support.
