Abstract
The study utilized a non-experimental descriptive design. A total of 100 respondents were included in the study. The respondents belong to the age bracket of 20 and above and go to massage centers regularly, chosen using the purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in the study is a questionnaire made by the researchers. The statistical treatments used were frequency distribution, mean, t-test and ANOVA. The following conclusions are drawn: 1) Majority of the 100 respondents are aged 21 to 30 years old, female, married, have a monthly income of P10,000, have finished college, have undergone 30 minutes to 1 hour of massage and visit a massage parlor once a week; 2)The respondents agreed on the psycho-emotional and physical benefits of massage; 3) There is no significant difference in the perception of respondents on the psycho-emotional and physical benefits of massage therapy when grouped in terms of age, civil status, estimated monthly income, educational attainment and frequency of massage. However, there is a significant difference in the perception of individuals on the psycho-emotional and physical benefits of massage therapy when grouped in terms of gender and duration of massage.
