Abstract
The researcher utilized the descriptive method. A total of 50 respondents from Mabolo, Bacoor, Cavite were selected using quota sampling method. The questionnaire method was used as a basic approach to obtain the replies of the respondents. The data gathered were recorded and analyzed using the frequency distribution. The researcher found out that majority of the people in Mabolo, Bacoor, Cavite believed that oral rehydration therapy is the best treatment for diarrhea. Many believed that the usage of oresol therapy helped to control diarrhea and dehydration. Majority of the people answered that the lack of knowledge in the usage is a major factor that leads to the failure of using the therapy. Considering the findings, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1) The study showed that the level of knowledge by the people of Mabolo regarding oresol therapy is adequate, thus accepting the first hypothesis; and 2) This showed that there are more advantages of using oresol therapy, thus accepting the second hypothesis.
