Abstract

This study utilized a descriptive quantitative type of research design. It included a total of 100 female respondents, age 18-35 years old, without any specific criteria as to ethnicity , educational attainment, employment status, civil status, and family structure. The study was conducted in two communities of Silang, Cavite, Brgy. Biga I and Brgy. Poblacion I. Non-probability sampling method was applied in the study. The research instrument was a self-made questionnaire and data was analysed using frequency distribution, mean, t-test, and percentage distribution. The researcher drew up the following conclusions: (1) majority of the respondents were 33 to 35 years old, married, high school graduates, Tagalog, unemployed, and have a nuclear family; (2) the residents of Silang, Cavite had moderate level of awareness on the therpeutic benefits of Calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa); the respondents had the same level of awareness on the therapeutic benefits of Calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa) regardless of age, civil status, ethnicity, employment status, and family structure. The level of awareness on the therapeutic benefits of Calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa) differed in terms of educational attainment.
