Abstract
This study was about the relation of teaching experience to the selected factors that affect teaching performance of nursing faculty of DLSU-EAC. The respondents determined the significant relation of the selected factors to their teaching performance, majority of the respondents perceived that all of this selected factors had something to do with teaching performance, but the most significant that greatly affect their teaching performance is attitude towards profession as perceived by the respondents. The descriptive survey method was used in this study the purpose is to determine the level of significance of selected factors like continous education, lenght of experience, relationship with co-faculty, relationship with the student, attitude towards profession, family relationship, personal relationship, and salary range. The respondents in this research consisted of all the 33 nursing faculty of DLSU-EAC. The respondents were encourages to answer the questions honesty and intelligently through a questionnaire, after the questionnaire was collected, the data gathered were presented in a tabulated form and analyzed using the weighted arithmetic mean and Chi-Square. The data gathered revelaed that there is no significant relation of teaching experience to the selected factors with regards to their teaching performance and among the selected factors attitude towards profession is the most significant factors that affect the teaching performance as perceived by the respondents. From the above findings of this study the researchers concluded that effectivity of teaching performance of a teacher is not only based and should not be measured by experience, although we have a saying that experience is the best teacher, but even if you are a beginner you can performed the best as long as you have determination to attain your goal. Attitude towards profession is the key for better teaching performance cause if you don't have willingness and you don't have self motivation and determination towards teaching it will surely be a failure to attain your goal.
