Abstract
The study used quantitative descriptive correlational research design. Respondents were selected through convenience sampling. There were 19 respondents were included in the study. The researchers used questionnaires. Data analysis was done using the Kendall Rank Correlation Coefficient or Kendall's Tau. Results showed that with regard to income, those with higher income have higher information seeking and social support seeking attitude, but with low probability of being non-adherent. In the aspect of stress and income, it was found that a higher income may be correlated with lower level stress. The researchers also concluded that those in longer duration (years) in ART have a decreased information seeking and social support seeking attitude, and lower probability of taking side effect medication. Results also suggest that those with higher age have a low stress score low probability of bein non adherent, but with high social support seeking attitude. with regard to educational attainment, it may deduced that thus with higher educational attainment have higher information seeking attitude, a more positive emotion focused coping, and higher probability of taking side effect medications. In terms of the relationship of coping mechanisms and stress score, coping mechanisms have been found to have a weak relationship with stress score. In addition to this, "taking side effect medications" is the only factor found to have a positive relationship with stress. thus, Those who are frequently taking side effects medications also have a higher stress score.
