The major instrument used in this study was the online questionnaire serves as the main data-gathering instrument. Data was analyzed through mean, standard deviation and ANOVA Test. The study concluded that family problems or personal issues generally caused the poor academic performance. Personal issued including fear of having failing grades, stress due to overloaded requirements, and feeling of unsatisfaction when the task is difficult hinder the students in bringing out the best in them and achieving the highest possible goal in terms of academics. Students' study habits and the institution often affect the academic performance of students form Medical Laboratory Science of DLSMHSI. Students' academic performance is often affected by the institution in such as way that they are encouraged and pushed to achieve in their tasks, resulting in exceptional academic performance. In contrast, this also contributes to a poor academic performance by having too much pressure on prioritizing the academic excellence of the institution itself rather than focusing on their individual academics success resulting in the students experiencing burnout which might result in unfinished tasks and requirements. Students' response to these high standards and prioritization of academic excellence depends on their coping mechanism. Furthermore, while peer pressure is the least factor that cause poor academic performance it is also that which causes excellent academic performance owing to the fact that peers inspire them, help and lift them in terms from academic difficulties.
