Abstract
The researchers used the descriptive method of the study. Purposive sampling was used and survey questionnaires were distributed. In total, the study was sent out to eight (8) schools f, four schools from Metro Manila and the rest of Cavite. Only 14 out of 26 participants who answered the form were interviewed by the researchers. The study concluded that the leading reason why the participants undergo social media detoxification is their mental and well being, while self-related purpose proves to be the secondary reason. On the other hand, the duration of social media detoxification proves to be irrelevant when it comes to the attainment of both mental and emotional stability of the participants. Lastly undergoing social media detoxification shows an improvement to the mental and emotional stability of allied-health students. This study documents experiences of the participants only having the point of reference from two specific themes: mental stability and emotional stability.
