Abstract
Tuberculosis is one of the leading diseases in the world which remained uncontrolled especially in underdeveloped and developing countries which is increasing in incidence. It usually involves the lungs but it can be seen in other organs such as gastrointestinal tract, peritoneum, lymph nodes, bones, and skin. It can also mimic other diseases such as abscess, Crohn's disease and carcinoma. The objective of this study is to review different presentation of abdominal tuberculosis that led to surgical treatment and to establish awareness about the surgical indications, implications and complications of abdominal tuberculosis.
