Abstract

F.E.M. 13 year old male with chief complaint of muscle weakness. He presented with acute onset of muscle weakness starting from lower extremities progressing to upper extremities accompanied with fine tremors. IVIg was initially contemplated but due to financial constraint IV methylprednisolone therapy was given instead. Significant improvement was noted on day 3 hospitalization. On day three of hospitalization, patient had no signs of respiratory distress. Intensity of tremors and difficulty of walking was minimized, there was great improvement in motor strength after last and third course of IV Methylprednisolone.
