"Pop the pustele! Get eScar!" : a case report of acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis

Abstract

This report present the case of an 18 year old female who initially manifested with pruritic macular erythematous rash on both upper and lower extremities, anterior chest and abdomen after ingesting Clindamycin for the hordeolum in her right eye. No fever was noted at the onset of the rash. However, there was progression of the macular rash to pustular rashes with resolution of the hordeolum. This paper discussed the immunopathology, symptomatology, treatment and prognosis of acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis.
