Abstract
In this study, 20 primigravid or nulliparous patients and 8 multiparous patients with uncomplicated pregnancies at 37 to 41 weeks age of gestation, with singleton pregnancy in cephalic presentation were included. General data, initial internal examination, Bishop score and simplified bishop score were recorded. Labor sheets and delivery records were reviewed. Data were analyzed using strata 12 and the results showed that Bishop and simplified Bishop scores were not an effective predictor of successful labor but data showed that most of the subjects with Bishop score of >9 and simplified Bishop score of >5 delivered vaginally.
