Abstract
Aggressive angiomyxoma is a rare vulvovaginal mesenchymal neoplasm with a marked tendency for local recurrence, but usually does not metastasize occurring almost exclusively in women of reproductive age. It is non-malignant but can aggressive and frequently recurs. Misdiagnosis is frequent. Wide excision is the preferred method of treatment. This is a case of a 58 year old post menopausal women that presents with large non-tender vulvar mass for 3 years. Patient underwent excision of vulvar mass. Intra operative findings revealed vulvar mass measuring 14x14x6 cm characterized as cystic to doughy and movable. Cust section showed cream tan fatty tissues with no hemorrhagic or necrotic areas noted. Histopathology of the vulvar mass revealed aggressive angiomyxoma.
