Abstract
Omental torsion, a condition rarely diagnosed preoperatively, is a rare differential diagnosis mimicking common causes of an acute abdomen such as acute appendicitis and acute cholecystitis due to its non-specific presentations. Such is the case of a 42-year-old male who underwent Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy due to his presentation of right upper quadrant pain paired with ultrasound finings suggestive of Cholelithiasis. Intraoperatively, omental inflammation, torsion with focal hemorrhages was found incidentally.
