Abstract
This study was a retrospective cohort analysis of 276 pregnant patients from a tertiary hospital in Cavite which included 276 patients, 138 of which are non-high risk term singleton pregnancies delivered via vaginal delivery, and 138 term singleton pregnancies with GDM delivered via vaginal delivery in 2017. GDM was diagnosed using 75g OGTT taken at 24-28 weeks AOG. Multivariate linear regression analyses were performed using as dependent variables BW, PW and PWBW ratio and as independent ones maternal characteristics at baseline, metabolic and perinatal characteristics. The study concludes that in women with GDM, BW and PW are more influenced in those GDM pregnancies with the highest degree of glucose intolerance, as demonstrated by the influence of the 1st hour post prandial glucose value at 75g OGTT on the PWBW ratio.
