Abstract
The aim of the study is to validate a clinical scoring system predicting ROSC in adult, non-traumatic OHCA patients-the LASARUS score. Data collection form was filled-up of adult, non-traumatic OHCA patients between July 2015 and May 30, 2016. Univariate analysis then multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to find out the relationship of variables of LASARUS score from ROSC. Sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, PPV, NPV and corresponding 95% confidence interval were all measured. As validated by this study, LASARUS score is the first scoring system that can be good predictor of ROSC and can be used as a standard tool among OHCA especially at the ER department. The variables such as initial ECG rhythm, witnessed arrest and interval between collapse and initial CPR can significantly affect ROSC. Furthermore, a LASARUS score at least 3 was a good predictor of ROSC and more likely to be discharged alive.
