Abstract

An experimental study that employed Kirby-Bauer disk susceptibility test to compare the antimicrobial activity of D. philippinensis from M. sapientum and Ciprofloxacin against S. aureus, E. coli, and S. typhi respectively. Both D. philippinensis and M. sapientum have antimicrobial activity against S. aureus, E. coli, and S. typhi, where widest zone of inhibition was observed in 100mcg for both plants. However comparison of antimicrobial activity of D. philippinensis from M. Sapientum and Ciprofloxacin against the three bacteria showed no statistical difference.
