Abstract
The water that was collected from the river exceeded the standard limit of a fresh and clean water that shows the presence of bacteria in the river. Most of the answers of the residents from the questionnaire stated that some of them were exposed in the river. The statistics of medical information from their health center was found to have a record of gastrointestinal diseases that can be caused from a dirty river. The researchers concluded that the uncleanness of the river has a highly possible effect to the health of the residents living nearby the river of Mabuhay Homes 2000 Extension, Salawag, Dasmariñas City, Cavite. There is no significant relationship between the rivers water quality and the occurrence of waterborne diseases of the residents.
