Abstract

As maternal mortality rates continue to rise year after year, there will be a high demand for antenatal services to avoid maternal difficulties. This study aims to determine the levels of satisfaction of pregnant women with the antenatal care services accessible to them. A questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale ranging from 6 to 10 questions was utilized to determine their satisfaction levels and whether their sociodemographic profile has an impact on their utilization of services. To determine that relationship between the two variables, Fisher’s exact test was utilized. Results found that pregnant women from Anabu 2C, Malagasang 1G, and Malagasang 2A have high satisfaction levels with antenatal services; however, there is no significant relationship between their satisfaction and sociodemographic profile. Pregnant women are proved to be extremely satisfied with antenatal services in terms of healthcare delivery performance with a mean score of 4.38; while in terms of provision of a patient-centered facility, pregnant women are satisfied with a mean score of 4.53. Overall, the researchers propose that healthcare centers should continue to cater to the needs and to assess their satisfaction levels to ensure the health and wellness of their patients, leading to better maternal outcomes.
