Abstract
The Covid-19 outbreak had severe economic consequences across the globe which endangered the economy and became a social disruption to many as it threatened millions of people's long-term livelihoods and well-being. This study aimed to determine the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on MSMEs’ operating hours, revenues, and employment. Descriptive research design was utilized in this study and data were collected using adapted research questionnaire through online and in-person interviews. The respondents were business owners residing at Dasmarinas, Cavite. Results showed that the respondents agreed that their revenues were affected by Covid-19 pandemic. However, they were undecided with regards to the impact of Covid-19 on the operating hours and employment status of their businesses. Furthermore, no significant difference was observed in the status of business operations with regards to the size of the enterprise in relation to revenues, operating hours, and employment as perceived by the respondents. This indicated that regardless of the business size, the respondents had similar perceptions regarding the impact of pandemic on their businesses. In depth analysis using qualitative research regarding the impact of covid-19 pandemic on businesses must be considered by future researchers to further understand the experiences of the business owners.
