Abstract

Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, a rise in usage of online mobile gaming is seen especially among young adult students. The physical, mental, and social well-being are among the 3 factors that online mobile gaming can influence. Previous studies covered how gaming influences the well-being of its user. However, few studies only covered online mobile games, with the current circumstances of the pandemic and how it influences well-being. This study is aimed to determine and expand upon the perceived influence of online mobile gaming on the physical, mental, and social well-being of selected grade 12 students of DLSMHSI S.Y. 2021 – 2022. The study utilizes a comparative research design. The researchers selected 100 grade 12 students who fit the criteria of online mobile gamer from DLSMHSI SHSSHS to be the respondents of this study. The results of the data were analysed through statistical tools such as FDT, mean, and standard deviation. Based on the findings, online mobile gaming is highly influential to the physical, mental, and social well-being. The statistical test showed that there was a significant difference among these 3 aspects, with Social being the highest, Mental being second, and Physical being the lowest.
