Abstract

Self-worth refers to a person's belief in his or her own ability to be loved. There are various factors that lower the self-worth of an individual, which has an impact on an individual's worth and value. This research aims to compare and explain the four predisposing factors, which are Physical, Mental, Emotional, and social that influence the concept of self-worth among senior high school students of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute S.Y 2021-2022. This study could benefit students, the community, instructors, as well as school administrators by providing additional knowledge and information about the factors that affect students’ self-worth. Furthermore, the findings of this study will show which among the four predisposing factors had a huge impact on their self-worth. In accordance with the assessment done, to gather the information needed for this research, the researchers have interviewed some grade 11 and grade 12 students of DLSMHSI. Respondents were also asked to answer a survey questionnaire through google form. The findings show that there are a variety of elements that can influence an individual's self-worth on physical, mental, emotional, and social factors. Moreover, the results also indicate that the Covid 19 pandemic, which affects a person's physical, emotional, mental, and social qualities, is one of the reasons for low self-worth in individuals.
