Abstract
In this study, the in-vitro anti-inflammatory effect of lemon grass ethanolic extract was evaluated through albumin denaturation assay using Bovine Serum Albumin. Aspirin was used as the standard drug basis. The results showed the ethanolic extract of lemongrass at concentration 5 mg/ml yielded its maximum percent inhibition at 75%. However, 5 mg/ml did not show significant activity (p>.05). The results proved that the present study of lemon grass ethanolic extract is a potential source of anti-inflammatory agent, although it did not surpass the percentage inhibition of Aspirin.
